This movie does a good job of avoiding the “person makes stupid decision” cliché that is overused in horror movies. Despite being extremely careful, the family gets sucked deeper and deeper into chaos.

The Amityville Horror

The Exorcist

It can be considered a grueling experience but it’s well balanced out with the help of an enigmatic story. Both the leads deliver a performance of a lifetime as they provide depth to their characters.
